Home 2013

Welcome to the 2013 website for the Cambridgeshire Clay Pigeon Shooting Association. The CPSA is the official English governing body of the sport of shooting clay targets with shotguns. As well as a national headquarters organisation, the CPSA has regional and county organisations to support and promote the sport and the members of the organisation.

Committee News

I am sorry to have to announce the following resignations from the Committee: Su and Graham Field who have decided to reduce their involvement in shooting, Daniel Twinn who no longer works in shooting, and Graham Carter for personal reasons. I would like to thank them all for their hard work and for giving up their time to be on the County Committee. We are not co-opting more committee members to replace them as it is late in the year and a new committee will be elected at the AGM in January.

The 2014 Cambridgeshire CPSA AGM will be held on Monday, January 20th at the Quy Mill Hotel, Stow-Cum-Quy, CB25 9AF at 8pm.The hotel has a bar and both a restaurant and snack bar. If you are likely to want to eat in either the restaurant or snack bar before the meeting please could you let me know (Michele@cambridgeshirecpsa.co.uk) as the Hotel needs to know if there are likely to be a large number of extra diners.

If you do have items for the AGM agenda please could you send or email them to the County Secretary (Hazel@cambridgeshirecpsa.co.uk) before the end of December.

Your committee does need good Team Managers and if you would like to manage one of the six County teams please do consider standing for the Committee. There are only four, short, evening meetings each year and you would be expected to attend the County Championship in your chosen discipline and then contact potential team members to ask them to attend the inter-counties events.

Finally I would like to apologise to our County Shooters for failing to announce on the website that the rules for the Supreme Champion competition had reverted to their original version with all shoots to count and not just those which are shot on a Sunday.
