The Cambridgeshire County FITASC Championship was held at Barrow Heath Shooting ground on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of May. We are very grateful to Phil and his team for hosting our County event and looking after us so well and to the Cambridgeshire shooters who supported the event.

Taylor Hedgcock shot a commendable 83 on the Saturday to win the Junior Champion title, setting a demanding standard for those shooting on the Sunday.

His score was not challenged until late on Sunday afternoon when Harry Seal also put in an 83, to win the Senior title, so a shoot off looked likely but that was only until Barry Simpson did what he does best – he shot a winning score of 84 to take the overall County Championship. This included a 22 on what was commonly seen as a very challenging layout.

Also scoring in the 80s were last year’s champion Jamie Harding with 81 and Veterans' champion Phillip Simpson with 80.
