Cambs Olympic Trap 1st November 2015 Nuthampstead
Now that the clocks have changed, we start to feel it’s nearing the end of the shooting season. We still have a few to tidy up, but all the main events have gone. On Sunday, we had the Olympic Trap. A really fine day for shooting; no wind to speak of, and sunny. The targets were on the ball as usual for Nuthampstead. 25 people turned out for the OT, of which only 6 were from Cambridgeshire. As usual, most of us found it hard, but with some good shooting from a few. J Russo shot 90 to lead the field, with P Barnard snapping at his heels all the way. One bad last round was to put a stop to that, so J Russo also came away with the Veterans’ trophy to finish the day. J Sole put in a most wonderful 97, to take the high gun for the event and, once again, took the Cambridgeshire title.
